Description: Digital storytelling takes the ancient art of oral storytelling and engages a palette of technical tools to weave personal tales using images, graphics, music and sound mixed together with the author's own story voice. The technology tools invite writers and artists to think and invent new tyes of communication outside the realm of traditional linear narratives.

Digital storytelling and its power in the classroom will be explored in this session featuring Arvin Ross from iSchool Initiative. Come and learn more about mobile digital storytelling from the digital natives.

About the Presenter: Arvin Ross is a sophomore at Kennesaw State University where he has honed his skills in digital photo editing and photography under the leadership of his mentor Kito Johnson. Under Kito's leadership, Arvin has excelled in understanding the arts of film, video production and public speaking. Arvin uses his skills at iSchool Initiative to create videos, graphic arts and to present seminars at schools. Connecting with the iSchool Initiative has helped Arvin find a way to gain even more experience in the areas that he is already passionate about.
